Robin-Program Director

mcGill_staff_robinRobin began working with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities as a young girl when she would accompany her mother and grandmother every Saturday to the local hospital where they both worked. Robin was ‘assigned’ 3 patients each morning and her job was to ‘make them smile.’ The experience instilled a desire to choose a career where she could work with people with disabilities. Her professional career in Human Services began in 1996 as a medical social worker in an Acute Care Hospital Dialysis unit. For the next several years, she continued working as a medical social worker and eventually began working with adults with physical disabilities, children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and mental health disorders. Throughout her career, she has worked in various support and management roles and began working at SMC in the spring of 2014 where she provides clinical supports to clients and quality assurance supports to SMC employees as the Director.
