In his previous clinical roles, Shawn was responsible for developing programs with a large non-profit organization in the Pittsburgh area. Efforts have been and continue to focus on historically underserved people. This includes but is not limited to individuals who have been incarcerated, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or those on the autism spectrum, as well as those who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Shawn holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor’s degree from Carlow University. In his spare time, Shawn has joined forces with friend and mentor Sharon Potter to create a podcast, “Two Old Sexperts.” The goal is to record and share pivotal information related to sexuality, support people with disabilities, and have some fun along the way.
